Many QuickBooks users have received the Intuit scam message and call. The scam message actually links to a malicious website.
Scam at Intuit Quickbooks – What is the scam?
This is a scam call or text message from scammers attempting to steal your financial and personal information. It states that your QuickBooks subscription is about to expire and that the renewal payment has not yet been made. The text directs you make a transfer to renew your payment. Although this text appears to be from Intuit.com, it does not have anything to do with intuit. The alleged agent is not authorized to represent intuit. Don’t be fooled. It’s all a scam!
Intuit has issued warning to Quickbook users about this scam.
You are exposed to spyware, viruses, and malwares by clicking on the link. These can be harmful to your device and can hack or destroy your mobile phone.
Genuine companies won’t ask for sensitive information like a password or credit-card number. They will also not send attachments or ask users to download anything to their devices.
