What’s the scam text health-careuk.com?

This text message claims that the recipients have been in touch with someone who has Omicron Variant. They must then order a free kit for PCR testing. It is a scam. Health-care-uk.com does not belong to the NHS UK. It was created by a Chinese individual.

Often, the fake PCR message looks something like this.

NHS: You are in touch with someone who has the Omicron Variant. You must order a free PCR testing kit here: hxxps://health-care-uk.com

This is a convincing look that might cause you to panic. Hey! You don’t have to be afraid or embarrassed.

Scammers may use text messages, phone calls, social media, and door-to-door visits to scam you. You might be convinced that the PCR test kit comes free of charge and that you just need to pay delivery. You’ll be charged multiple debits for items that are not related to your order if you provide your financial and personal details.

How to determine if a PCR test text is real

  • If the ID number is unique, you can determine if the document is genuine. This ID number will allow you to log in to , the official Test and Trace website.
  • Verify that the text was sent from the number 0300 013 5500, which is the only number for the NHS tracing service.
  • Verify that the link comes from Gov.uk, a well-known government website for health information.

You should inform your bank immediately if you suspect you have given sensitive information to fraudsters.
