A text message was sent by EBT to inform you that Federal Government agencies will provide you with some benefits if your information includes driver’s license numbers and social security number. Beware! It’s a scam.

Many people have received this message from EBT. This message actually links to a malicious website.

Ebt stands for electronic benefit transfer. This is a US system where the government gives money to the poor using a debit card they can use to purchase food. An average Ebt monthly payout is $125 per participant.

Ebt Scam text 2022 – How does this scam work?

This fraudulent message was sent by scammers to obtain EBT card information, PIN numbers and skimming EBT cash benefits. Skimming is the use of electronic equipment that captures the EBT card information of a recipient and creates a duplicate or counterfeit card.

You are exposed to spywares, viruses, and malwares by clicking on the link. These can be harmful to your device and can hack or destroy your mobile phone.
