Text Scam on EBT Electronic Benefit Transfers: 8772740320

Many people have received mails telling them to call (877-274-0320). This text is mainly directed at people who live in the United States of America, particularly San Francisco.

The email addresses all have an ebt/EBT attached. This is a common trait. This gives the impression that they are from EBT security.

What is the Scam?

This scam works in the same way as any other scam: it aims to steal your personal and financial information. They want you to fall for their trap! How?

You will be asked to provide personal information and your account number. These will be used for accessing your benefits.

This scam is very similar to the Student loan forgiveness scam. It is the same method of operation.
